Hi, I’m Savanna.
I was born in Richland Center, Wisconsin, in 2004. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Textiles and Fashion Design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2026.
I have always been drawn to craft and making. Working primarily with textiles, I am drawn to their tactile qualities and their ability to carry personal and collective histories.
My process is informed by memory, particularly fragments of childhood: sensory details, textures, and quiet moments that persist over time. I often begin with an intuitive response to material, allowing fabric, thread, and found elements to guide the development of each piece. Through layering, stitching, and repetition, I explore how memories can be preserved, altered, or reimagined.
I am interested in the interplay between softness and structure, and in how textiles can hold both vulnerability and resilience. My work reflects on themes of comfort, identity, and the subtle ways in which early experiences continue to shape our sense of self.
